Tenzin
Operations Director
Tenzin leads iBEST in the capacity of Business Development Officer and Asst. Financial Analyst. He sees that the development of business plans and it's market and feasibility studies are comprehensive. He is satisfied and only takes pride when our clients’ projects are successful. As a young boy, he was mesmerized by a guitar, and fortunately playing it came naturally to him. Since then Tenzin kept his passion alive and composing his own songs, he sang for his friends in schools through graduation. He majored in Accounting from Gaeddu College of Business Studies, Bhutan.
At the college, he was intrigued why some businesses fail while others succeed. Dealing with clients from diverse backgrounds, he is humbled with his simple finding and observation. A successful business is all about sustainability driven by the profitability of an idea and guided by accountability. These three are inseparably interdependent! Tenzin is content, and he thinks it’s more of a design that he chose to work at the iBEST which challenges his inquisitive interest and love for numbers. He wonders if there is a mystical connection between being able to play guitar naturally and his love for numbers. He is still figuring it out, and when he does he loves to publish a book on it!

I completed my Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce from Gaeddu College of Business Studies in 2016. I joined iBEST Institute after graduation as a Program Coordinator.
After working for almost five years at iBEST, I realized it does not matter whether you work for private institutions or government offices, or big corporations. What is more important is your positive energy and willingness to take on any responsibility. I believe that a person should have integrity and the “CAN DO” attitude wherever one works. Working at iBEST has enriched my experiences, opened a world of opportunities for me, and equipped me to take on more challenging roles in the future. Currently, I am working at iBEST as an Operations Manager, Internal Auditor, and Business Analyst.

Yeetob Pelden Dorji is a senior character designer, storyboard artist and illustrator. Currently he heads the pre-production pipeline at the iBEST STUDIOS. “Since I was nine years-year-old, I used to watch my mother paint and sketch. I was so fond of doing what my mother did and how she did it. That inspired me to start painting and sketching. While growing up as a young boy, I used to watch a lot of cartoon series like Tom and Jerry, Scoobydoo, Justice League, etc. Reading a Marvel or a DC comic was a must for me. With all those superhuman characters who lived ordinary lives like common people with responsibilities made me love them even more. I always wished that someday I would create our own superhero Bhutanese character, its comic book and other merchandises. After college, I started researching more about comic arts and even video game characters. Luckily, I got the opportunity to undergo a yearlong 2D animation training at the iBEST Institute. I am grateful to Sir Tharchen for his confidence in me and guiding me to create the characters for the legend of Pemi Tshewang Tashi movie. But it was not easy to design these characters since I’ve been out of touch with comics for a while. So, I started watching superhero movies and reading comic books again. This whole exercise gave me a much needed "muse". After a few ups and downs, I was able to create the character - Pemi Tshewang Tashi and other secondary characters as well. I’m proud of being a part of this ambitious project. I humbly accept it as a gift - a lifelong gateway- to doing what I do the best. It is not work if you love what you do! Today, when I look back, I derive immense pleasure and inspiration from setbacks and breakthroughs from the times of creating the Legend. I have learnt a lot and I am always grateful to the team for making this dream a reality!”

She has been working at iBEST STUDIOS since 2016 after the yearlong training funded by the Ministry of Labour and Human Resources, Royal Government of Bhutan “In 2016 when I joined the animation training at iBEST Institute, I did not have any basic knowledge of art and animation. After the training, though I was interested in art, my dream to become a professional animator was a far-fetched reality since my skills were not good enough. I thought of giving up on animation but our trainer, Mr Manoranjan Surin, motivated me, saying, “There is nothing that we can’t do it!” For inspiring and having patience in me, I’m grateful to him for what I’m today. The journey of creating the Legend of Pemi Tshewang Tashi is memorable and enriching one. Looking back, I get overwhelmed about how the team sacrificed their personal time and willingness to work on the project, despite all the hardships. Staying a late night at the office, working during holidays and weekends was dead tiring. Some of us haven’t gone home for many days and nights. It was quite worrying for my family members, and I had some hesitation about how people will judge us. But the spirit of camaraderie and teamwork helped us to focus on our mission- to complete the project successfully! All my hardships and difficulties just dissipated into thin air the day we launched our trailer of the movie and how well it was received by the public. With the renewed energy and motivation, all our team members put in their best effort they could in the last phase of the project. In conclusion, I would like to quote Napoleon Hill, “Whatever the mind can conceive and believe, the mind can achieve.”

It was a time when we merged day and night to present the best. It was our first big project. Despite the lack of technical expertise and experience to lead and guide us, we did not give up. And that was our biggest achievement! There was a point in time when we almost gave up on the project because of the work pressure. However, due to the team spirit among us and our passion towards the art, we were inspired to stand together and finish the project no matter what. In the end, we did it. "Never give up!" There's nothing that we cannot achieve if we come together for a greater cause.”

Tsheten Zangmo is a senior animator (2D) and supervisor. She has been working at iBEST STUDIOS since 2017 after the yearlong training funded by the Ministry of Labour and Human Resources, Royal Government of Bhutan “I do believe every one of us has a part of Pemi Tshewang Tashi that lives within us. The legend has become an integral part of me! The movie has numerous priceless values which are relevant even more in modern times. To mention few, Tshewang Tashi’s deep sense of belongingness and affection towards his community, his beloved family members, countrymen, and warrior comrades. And his utmost commitment, dedication, and respect to his lord and superiors in fulfilling his duties and responsibilities. Above all, sensibilities and affection Tshewang Tashi places on women with high regard and respect. Having worked on the movie, and showcasing our work in the public domain, is a dream come true for me. I am proud to say I have achieved one of my dreams! I have achieved my dream not because of my only hard work and passion but all due to the combined efforts my hardworking and committed team members, without whom this project would not have been successful. Today I’m proud of the team members who were emotionally and physically strong to persevere and endure to see through the project. Despite the shortcomings in terms of experience and skills, resilience exhibited by the team in the face of difficulties kept us going. There were times when the work was not coming out at all and few members gave up mid-way. But the remaining team members came out together stronger and motivated to complete the task we have set out to do. There is nothing one cannot do if one has will and determination! Moreover, as women, our effort and approach towards professional work should equally speak up to be no lesser than our men. Heed it, young girls and women, we do not want anyone to take us for granted and side-lined us! We have to make our place and standing in society. No matter how old you are, whether you are a young boy or a girl, or a man or a woman, if you have a dream then go after it, relentlessly. One day it will surely become yours and work in your favour. After graduation, I had no hopes, no goals and no dreams at all. With support from the Ministry of Labour and Human Resources, Royal Government of Bhutan I got into the short training at the iBEST Institute in 2017. I remain indebted to Sir Tharchen for giving me the platform. Only after joining the iBEST, I realized what I wanted to do in my life and what it takes to achieve that really meant for me.”

I have always known I wanted to be a musician. From a very young age, I sang, wrote songs, and played different instruments. It’s always been a part of my life and I can’t even imagine doing anything other than music.
The perk of my work is the exciting experience of working with talented artists. Other than that, I get to compose music and songs which help me showcase my creativity. And working at iBEST has presented me with these various opportunities and over the years I have grown so much as a musician. I have a long way to go but I hope to be a fine musician someday. I want to create music that will be remembered for a long time. Most of all I want to be remembered as a musician.

From Lord of the Ring to Chronicles of Narnia, animation and special effects have given a broader version of creativity and talent. The people behind computers such as animators and visual effects artists made it possible. Inspired by such presentation of creativity and talent, I always wanted to work in creative fields and iBEST Studios was the best platform - I could think of.
During the last two years and more, as a visual artist, I worked on several projects that groomed me beyond my expectations. Dzi Mitogu, the featured film was one of the enriching experiences in honing my creativity and skills. iBEST Studios illuminated the dreams and hopes of creative thinkers. It brought values and work ethics into practice and gave interpersonal relationships, its significance. Most of us here today, come from different backgrounds. However, the element of quality obsession, energy, and excitement to learn took us a step ahead. "Stay hungry, stay foolish" inspired by Steve Jobs, I shall embrace zealous nature to learn, make mistakes, and relearn smartly. I care about my passion and shall work diligently so that my dream today becomes a platform for many, tomorrow.

It took me awhile to realize that I wanted to be a film maker. Growing up as a young boy I was clueless about my future. Once I graduated high school I was interested in financial accountancy. I had a Diploma Certificate in Bookkeeping and Financial Accounting but it didn’t land me any job. It was hopeless.
So, in 2016 I resigned from my job to pursue film-making studies. In the course of three years, I learned visual aesthetics, directing, cinematography, visual editing, sound, lighting, and acting, etc. It was still not enough, I needed hands-on experience. After my degree completion in 2019, I got the opportunity to work with different people on several film projects through which I gained some insightful experiences and knowledge. Finally, in 2020, I started working at iBEST Studios full-time as an editor and cinematographer. I aspire to learn and contribute towards bringing quality works at iBEST by working closely with my wonderful team members.

Honestly, I never thought much of animation and thought it is just kid stuff. I have spent part of my life watching cartoons and animation but it never interested me. When I completed high school, I got a training opportunity to learn 3D animation at iBEST Institute. Things just happened and I went with the flow.
After some lessons and when I got hang of the software the interest sparked in me. Ever since animation has become an important part of me and I am still exploring and learning. In the future, I hope to apply these enriching experiences to create the best animation works in the country and beyond.

Dexter's Laboratory, Ben 10, Johnny bravo, Kimi no nawa, Silent Voice… You name it! I have watched almost every cartoon and animation and who can forget Tom & Jerry series.
I was obsessed with animation and one day it struck me I want to try making one too. So right after high school, I took animation classes, and now I am working as a full-time 3D animator besides other multimedia works. For me being an animator is not a job but rather a full-time hobby. It allows me to bring the wildest imagination to life and it gives me a chance to create something magical. I can use my creativity to the utmost. I want to share this experience of creating something magical for everyone through my works.

I was always fascinated when I watch the animation. I was curious about how it was made. So, I started browsing the internet about animation and the skills involved. Like fate will have it, I came across that iBEST Institute was offering these skills. I started off as a trainee. Then I got an opportunity to work at iBEST.
At first, I was clueless and I had a hard time learning the software. Now I know video editing, animation, VFX, and designing. Lately, I have been learning live-action shooting and camera works as well. Under the guidance and assistance from colleagues at our firm, I have progressed so much. I am very thankful and privileged to be working with supportive team members. I wish to keep learning and exploring more about animation and filmmaking.

How did they do that? Is it even possible? I was always amused how a simple illustration came to live and moved so intricately. And I wanted to create my own moving character and wanted tell a story. This is how I became a 3D animator and became part of this wonderful team.
It’s been 3 years since I worked at iBEST and I enjoyed every little process despite the hardships. One day I hope to emerge as one of the best animators and make my country and family proud through my works. I want to improve a storytelling in our country which can inspire the younger generation.

You know what they say it’s never too late to follow your dream. I was always an avid animator lover, especially Japanese animation. I was always fascinated how animators who create series of motion-based art to tell stories. I wanted to be an animator but I could not muster enough courage to take up the animation studies. That time I thought there was not enough future scope. Despite my interest in animation I studied something I wasn’t interested!
After my graduation, I heard about the platform iBEST Studios gives to dreamers like us. Thus, I took 3D animation training in 2018 and ever since I started to work as an animator. Over the last two years, I learned more than I expected and it is a privilege that I am still learning. I am glad I could follow my dream.

When I started my internship as a Marketing Officer at iBEST in 2019, I didn’t think of it as much. I wasn’t expecting anything as an intern but it was different. The moment I started my internship I was learning something new every day. My days at iBEST have not only helped me professionally but it taught me the importance of teamwork. iBEST has the best sense of teamwork and I am happy I could rely on my colleagues.
I get various opportunities and training which really enhanced my skills. I got the opportunity to attend training in Marketing and Customer Care. Driven by a passion to know more, I also took online Coursera courses such as Digital Marketing, Social Media Management, and Social Media Marketing. Working at iBEST as a full-time employee since December 2019, I feel blessed to work and contribute towards achieving the goals of our company. I wish to continue growing and explore further to grow personally and professionally.

For the four semesters of my college, I was looked at as a highly mediocre student. I was not so good in any of the modules of my course. Nothing about the IT course intrigued me enough to provoke my hunger to learn. However, things started to change when we were introduced to the multimedia module that included animation.
Indeed, it still sounds fascinating. Being able to produce movement to the objects we drew was one of the coolest things I could ever imagine. And it just had me in. I had to know more about it. Definitely, I was not taken seriously when I told everyone that I wanted to pursue my career in animation and I could do it. With lots of determination and hard work, I came up with a small animation clip that everyone praised. However, I was not content with my craft because there was so much to learn and improve. Therefore, I took up the internship opportunity at iBEST, which led to full-time employment as an animator.

After completing my degree, I was just like one of those birds who had wings but couldn't fly. I have a B.Sc. in Environmental Science degree that has nothing to do with the creative field I am very much drawn to. For this very reason, my friends did not support my decision to pursue an art career. However, my interest won over their opinions.
It was a moment of pride to see my distant dream of becoming an artist become a reality. Amongst many competitors, I was selected to intern at iBEST. And now, with all the necessary training and grooming, I am a full-time 2D Animator. I still have so many things to learn. Hopefully, I will be able to do justice to the company and myself one day. Vincent van Gogh righty said, "If you hear a voice within you say, you cannot paint then by all means paint, and the voice will be science." So, go paint your heart out. There will come a day when people will even understand your silence.

Before joining iBEST, I heard enough about it, and my interest was all perked up. I was happy and excited about being selected for the internship at iBEST. During the internship, I knew that I was competing with better and more talented people than me. I doubted myself time and again whether I would be able to compete with them.
However, I pulled myself through the internship with so much learning support and guidance from my colleagues and seniors. The biggest takeaway from my internship at iBEST was that qualification means nothing as long as you are skilled and willing to work hard. I am fortunate to be a part of the iBEST family, and I have been learning since then. I will never doubt myself; instead, I will believe that nothing is impossible.

I'm a 90s kid who grew up with anime and cartoon networks, never realizing that the shows I watched so passionately were secretly shaping my future. I took up drawing early in life, fueled by the desire to make my favorite cartoons with my own hands. By the time I was in middle school, I was drawing everywhere - books, hands, walls, bag packs, class tables - any surface that could be drawn on.
As I grew older, the concept of animating 2D figures into lively characters began to fascinate me. The more I researched it, the more I realized how amazing it was, thus, growing a passion for art and animation. Throughout high school and college graduation, I never lost sight of my passion, and now this passion has led me to iBEST. They say the best thing about doing what you love is that you never get tired of doing it. That is where learning becomes fun and work becomes a game. I am still learning a trade, always striving to be better than yesterday, always drawing, always animating, and always creating.

Growing up as a young boy in the 1990s, I loved watching animation. With every passing year, animation evolved, and I became obsessed with it, especially the characters. And that obsession led me to draw numerous fan arts of Dragonballz of my time. The love and passion for the creation of animation made me explore different art styles. I was learning about animation and drawing through guide books, online courses, and YouTube content.
My deep passion and love for animation led me to quit the Nursing Course in India that I have been pursuing for four years. I took a bold decision to take up the internship at iBEST as a BG Artist and Illustrator when I had only one semester to complete my degree. I was fortunate to get trained at iBEST for 3 months and then recruited as a full-time team member of the iBEST family. People from diverse fields come together with a common interest in creating ideas for generations. Working at iBEST, I aspire to make ideas become a reality and achieve excellence in my work.

After completing my studies, I've been looking for the best company to work to learn and excel. To my dismay, I landed up working many jobs in which I was not interested. I enjoy working at iBEST since all the colleagues are frank, talented, cooperative, and supportive.

Having remained unsure of the next step after graduation and anxious about the outcomes, I consider choosing this line of work as the right decision. Working in a competitive organization alongside great leaders and enthusiastic colleagues has been a completely new journey filled with motivations and exciting ideas.
I think the only way to do great work is to love what we do. Despite the challenges, it's always fun to work with an enthusiasm that I am endowed with and learn new things every day. From being an absolute novice in film making and now being able to multitask, I must say it has been an incredible journey with iBEST.
Since joining iBEST, I have learned cinematography and learned how to edit films using different types of software. I have helped in the management of the office and have firsthand experience in the technical field. I have been learning since joining the organization, and I hope to learn much more in the future.
